LOMM Editions brings together two generations of creative women. Léonie Alma Mason, an interior designer, is reissuing what her grandmother, the artist Odile Mir, created in the 1970s.
Elegant and inventive furniture that is in tune with the times. Lighting, furniture and accessories that you can really live with.
Rare design. That's LOMM.

"Creating lighting and furniture just happened, intuitively. Once they were produced, I realized that they were things I had dreamed of."

You came to the world of design by chance.
OM
I often went to the Delmas factory to collect materials for sculpting. I had a lot of ideas on the road, in my van. Once I arrived, I tried to materialize them. I learnt everything by myself and by craft.
LM
These objects are based on very simple forms that find their balance.
OM
These are basic shapes that inhabit our lives: rounds, squares, triangles. At the time, I knew nothing about design, but what I saw around me was primarily practical. I wanted to furnish my home with things that had spirit.
LM
What went through your mind to create the FILO range?
OM
Delmas did not work much with metal wire, so I decided to explore this material without saying so. I was surprised by its versatility. For example, I designed the FILO Magazine Rack, which can be used in several different positions.
LM
The DAVID Grand Armchair stands out from your other creations.
OM
I remember wanting a light chair based on a triangle. So I drew support points, like a geometry figure, to see. I liked the result and added springs for flexibility.
LM
It is unique in the LOMM Editions family.
OM
I've always said to myself that I would build a hanging house one day. It would have to be perfectly stable, because it would be above the void and likely to be blown about by the wind. That's how the Grand Armchair DAVID was born.
LM
You were picking through the Delmas factory like a shop.
OM
Women have a knack for using whatever they have on hand, just like in the kitchen. So I didn't hesitate to help myself to the overflow of the workshop. I found the two discs and the bulbs of the DUO Floor Lamp and the back of the PLI Table Lamp.
LM
Why?
OM
I thought it would be nice to make lamps with a dog in them because I didn't have any. I made them on the first try with the help of a craftsman. I admire the way craftsmen talk about their work. Needless to say, I was a curiosity at the factory.
LM
You have imposed yourself naturally.
OM
Independence is the freedom I was given at the factory. I managed to make a place for myself in this world that was not expecting me. The fact that I was given the best worker when nothing was asked of me was an incredible opportunity, and I realise this now.
LM
Where do the model numbers come from?
OM
These are Delmas' inventory numbers.
LM
The 1970s saw the development of design in series. Did you ever imagine that you would find your creations in the Prisunic catalogue?
OM
That moment changed the way people consume and their behaviour. It wasn't rational for me. What surprised me was the possibility of a rebound. Like today, more than fifty years later. LOMM offers these creations a shortcut into a future I could not imagine. —
